Collection: About Chimes For Hope

On November 1, 2024, my world was brutally turned upside down when I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer called Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). This type of cancer has fewer treatment options, and the chances of recurrence are high. While I’m preparing to face the challenges ahead, starting January 2025 with 6 months of chemo, my heart aches for others fighting this same battle—especially those less fortunate than me.

Many women with breast cancer face heartbreaking obstacles, whether it’s a lack of insurance, the inability to afford lodging near hospitals, or the daily struggles of putting food on the table, fueling a car to get to appointments, or ensuring their children are cared for. No one should have to face this fight without the support—financial, emotional, or otherwise—that they so desperately need and deserve.

I’m fortunate to still have insurance, but the road ahead with chemotherapy, radiation, and their side effects feels both scary and uncertain. I’m hoping to supplement treatment with naturopathic care to help manage the side effects, but, as you might have guessed, this isn’t covered by insurance. To help support these additional expenses and share something meaningful, I’ve decided to offer a special collection of my artwork, including Chimes for Hope and other pieces I’ve created over the years. Many of these items—apart from the Chimes for Hope—are prototypes, pieces with small flaws, or deeply personal works I hadn’t been ready to let go of until now. Each one represents my passion for art and creativity, making them even more meaningful to share. I’ll be uploading new items as I find the time, so please check back often.

My Chimes for Hope will be available soon, for as long as I have the stamina to create them while undergoing treatment. Being able to work and channel my passion for creativity gives me an immense sense of purpose in more ways than one, and truly fills my soul with happiness. Additionally, 50% of the proceeds will go to (TBD Charity), supporting those who are struggling with this disease. You can learn more about this incredible cause here: (TBD).

Please note that these items are priced slightly higher as proceeds support the fight against breast cancer. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, feel free to explore my other collections.

Thank you for your kindness and support. It means the world to me and to the many others fighting this battle.

With gratitude,
Malou
